Foundational Electrical Design Engineer Role

Job Description

Become a key founding Electrical Design Engineer at Canada Rocket Company, focusing on developing advanced electrical systems for our first medium-lift vehicle. This senior role is both hands-on and strategic in nature.

You will spearhead the design of critical, flight-grade electrical hardware, starting with the R1 rocket and growing alongside the company. With your deep experience, you will define specifications, create processes, and mentor emerging engineers as part of a committed team from industry leaders. Your work will be essential for establishing Canada’s space launch competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create electrical architectures for complex systems with safety focus

• Manage all phases of electronic component development

• Develop frameworks for scalable electrical design processes

• Provide production support for avionics and quality assurance

• Test, develop, and characterize electronic sub-circuits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering field

• 5+ years in electronic design and testing roles

• Expertise in bringing hardware from concept to production

• Understanding of circuit design and SMT approaches

• Familiarity with interfaces, sensors, and power supplies
