Java/Spring Boot Developer for Modernization

Job Description

Embrace the opportunity as a Java/Spring Boot Developer focusing on application upgrades. This long-term contract involves modernizing critical applications by enhancing Spring Boot and Java versions.

We are looking for two Java Developers to handle modernization tasks on a long-term basis. You will focus on upgrading Spring Boot applications from version 2.7 to 3.5, while migrating Java applications from both versions 11 and 17 to Java 21. Strong hands-on experience with Maven and troubleshooting upgrade issues will be vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upgrade Spring Boot from version 2.7 to 3.5 efficiently

• Transition Java applications from versions 11/17 to 21

• Address issues related to Maven (pom.xml) files and builds

• Test and ensure compatibility throughout the upgrade process

• Utilize Python for additional support where necessary

Requirements:

• Solid experience in Java and Spring Boot development

• Expertise in application modernization practices

• Familiarity with Maven, builds, and dependency issues

• Skilled in resolving challenges related to upgrades

• Python familiarity is an advantage but not essential
