Hands-On Java Developer Manager Position

Job Description

Lead development with TNG where you will manage a team delivering Java applications. Focus on modernizing fintech services through technical leadership.

As the Developer Manager at The Nationwide Group, you will guide a team of developers in creating and maintaining Java-based applications for the financial services sector. With a background of over seven years in software development and a strong grasp of RESTful API design with Spring Boot, you will drive modernization initiatives while enhancing team capabilities. Your effective communication and strategic planning will play a critical role in achieving project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of Java developers

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Spring Boot

• Lead modernization of existing codebases into APIs

• Architect applications deployed on AWS

• Collaborate with product and QA teams for releases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar

• 7+ years of experience in software development

• Proven team leadership abilities

• Expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices

• Experience leveraging AI tools for development
