North Vancouver Strategic Buyer Position

Job Description

Join Chemtrade as a Strategic Buyer in North Vancouver, BC, and play an essential role in the procurement process. Your expertise will directly influence plant efficiency and service quality.

As a key member of the Corporate Procurement Team, this on-site role will have you focused on sourcing goods and services critical to operations and maintenance within a unique manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Sr. Manager-Capital & Indirect Procurement, you will harness your skills to ensure compliance, manage vendor relationships, and expedite purchase orders effectively. Having a background in ERP systems, particularly SAP, will be essential as you strive for continuous improvement in procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the end-to-end procurement process for sites

• Source MRO parts and technical services efficiently

• Manage vendor pricing and contracts

• Facilitate timely delivery of essential materials

• Support inventory management and reconciliation processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field

• 5-10 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Exhibit excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Contribute to Chemtrade’s mission in maintaining operational excellence and providing critical support for their North Vancouver industrial facility.
