Job Description

Take charge of game backend systems at Offworld Industries as a Microservices Backend Engineer. Bring your expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to scale our live-service offerings.

As a member of our dynamic team, you will focus on critical backend tasks, such as architecture stabilization and modernization, contributing to titles like “Squad” and “Starship Troopers: Extermination”. Your role will encompass leading feature completion and ensuring high-quality performance through automated testing. Close collaboration with Tencent teams will enhance your impact on our multiplayer gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve existing stateful architectures for scalability

• Drive completion of vital backend systems

• Implement modern CI/CD practices for deployments

• Establish a rigorous testing framework for quality assurance

• Engage with Tencent for collaboration on infrastructure improvements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience

• Strong command of Node.js and TypeScript

• In-depth knowledge of stateful backend systems

• Experience working with NoSQL databases

• Native-level Mandarin and professional English fluency
