Job Description

Elevate your career as a Shift Supervisor at Domtar's Atikokan Sawmill. This critical position ensures effective operation and safety in wood production processes.

As part of the Domtar team, you will report to the Superintendent while supervising all shift activities. Your responsibilities will include optimizing personnel and equipment use to achieve production goals while establishing rigorous safety standards. Lead training initiatives and collaborate with quality control to ensure the product meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities: • Supervise daily sawmill operations and workforce • Enhance equipment performance through maintenance collaboration • Administer necessary inspections to ensure product quality • Train employees on safety and operational procedures • Manage production and safety-related administrative tasks

Requirements: • Degree or diploma in a technical field • 3-4 years of relevant supervisory experience • Strong leadership and team management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sawmill technologies • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
