Photonics Optical Packaging Engineer

Job Description

Elevate your career as a Photonics Optical Packaging Engineer, focusing on advanced packaging and assembly techniques for integrated photonic devices. Your skills in high-precision optical alignment will be crucial in this role.

You will develop and optimize packaging processes and tooling, establish validation plans, and improve optical performance. Team collaboration is essential as you partner with design and manufacturing teams on New Product Introduction, ensuring the application of Design for Excellence methodologies in the workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement optical packaging processes for integrated devices

• Design and optimize alignment tooling for accuracy

• Characterize optical performance under operational conditions

• Define and maintain scalable workflows and standards

• Analyze assembly data to improve throughput

Requirements:

• PhD or Master’s in relevant discipline

• 3+ years in related packaging design

• Expertise in optical alignment and process optimization

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Experience with Design for Excellence methodologies
