Job Description

Take the next step in your career as a Senior Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters. Focus on designing and operating scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and PostgreSQL.

You will have complete ownership of technical solutions, contributing to architecture decisions while collaborating with diverse teams. Your mission will be to enhance platform reliability and performance while guiding junior engineers in best practices. This hands-on role will enable you to influence engineering quality from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and support scalable backend services and REST APIs

• Design resilient distributed systems using advanced architectural patterns

• Conduct full lifecycle software development including testing and support

• Optimize PostgreSQL for performance tuning and data integrity

• Provide mentorship and promote engineering excellence within teams

Requirements:

• Significant experience building production backend applications

• Technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and PostgreSQL

• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems

• Proven ability to handle all aspects of software development

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
