Job Description

Advance your career as a Senior Data Engineer at Extendicare, based in Markham, Ontario. This exciting role allows for hybrid work and impactful data integration projects.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll report directly to the Sr. Manager of Data Architecture, playing a vital role in the development of scalable data solutions that enhance operational capabilities. You will work on cloud transformation, lead data migration efforts, and mentor less experienced team members in best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and test data integration solutions

• Develop ETL processes with MS SQL and Python

• Support modernization initiatives and data migrations

• Troubleshoot performance and quality issues

• Conduct code reviews to uphold data governance standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Minimum 7 years of relevant data engineering experience

• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure

• Familiarity with API, JSON, and various data sources

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity
