Job Description

Join OS Institute as a Database Administrator specializing in SQL Server and Azure SQL in Brampton, Ontario. This hybrid role utilizes T-SQL and performance tuning to enhance database efficiency.

As a full-time SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for administering both SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments. With over seven years of experience, your duties will include implementing recovery solutions, patching, issue troubleshooting, and developing T-SQL objects while optimizing SQL queries and ETL processes through SSIS and Azure Data Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instances

• Monitor database performance, security, and capacity

• Implement and manage HA/DR solutions

• Perform database maintenance and upgrades

• Develop T-SQL code and enhance ETL processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years as SQL Server DBA with development experience

• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance and T-SQL

• Skills in database security and performance tuning

• 2+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Familiar with CI/CD deployments and troubleshooting
