Naval Combat Systems Specialist Needed

Job Description

Weir Marine Engineering seeks a Combat Systems Specialist in Halifax for Material State Validation. Leverage your naval combat systems skills to enhance the Royal Canadian Navy’s capabilities.

This full-time position calls for 6 years of experience in naval maintenance and specialized knowledge of combat systems. You will lead quality inspections, assess technical deviations, and implement corrective actions. The role supports project management oversight and prioritizes safety while working on-site.

Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed inspections of naval combat systems • Enter defects and findings into the DND’s DRMIS • Identify and report systemic fleet issues • Assist in planning shipboard work periods • Promote a safety-first work environment

Requirements: • At least 6 years in relevant maintenance roles • Engineering or Technologist diploma preferred • Experience with DRMIS is beneficial • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work safely in various maritime settings
