Senior Data Engineer with Microservices Focus

Job Description

Explore a dynamic opportunity as a Senior Data Engineer with a leading Fortune 500 company. This on-site, 12-month contract involves developing microservices and data pipelines.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile backend and data engineer, responsible for building and maintaining cloud-native systems. You will work collaboratively to ensure seamless data integration while optimizing backend services. The role is focused on service reliability and contributing to DevOps practices through Infrastructure-as-Code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design backend services and cloud-native microservices

• Optimize data transformation and ingestion integration

• Collaborate for effective data flow across systems

• Implement scalable event-driven architectures with Kafka

• Monitor service reliability and define SLOs for performance

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience

• 2+ years in data engineering with ETL/ELT pipelines

• Strong relational and NoSQL database proficiency

• Proven experience with GCP or Azure environments

• Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data frameworks
