Job Description

Be a part of Weir's mission as a Senior Systems Engineer, enhancing Information Systems for the Royal Canadian Navy. This role allows for hybrid work in Halifax, Gatineau, Ottawa, or Montreal.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, your contributions will focus on creating and managing requirements for complex naval systems. You’ll leverage over 7 years of engineering experience, ensuring lifecycle management and compliance across various domains. Your efforts will help improve the functionality and security of critical maritime technologies that underpin Canada’s defense initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: • Organize and lead workshops for requirement analysis with stakeholders • Design high-level system architectures integrating naval technology • Develop detailed engineering and technical documentation • Engage actively in project progress scrums and collaborations • Demonstrate strict adherence to safety and zero harm objectives

Requirements: • Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering experience • At least 4 years in systems engineering roles • Experience managing multi-domain systems' integration • Skilled in structured cabling system development • Must possess Canadian citizenship and residency requirements
