Senior Engineer - AI Platform Development

Job Description

BMO is hiring a Senior Engineer to develop and enhance AI platforms within a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on creating infrastructure that maintains AI governance and scalability.

As a Senior Engineer, you will design and manage critical components such as the Policy Engine and AI Registry. Your expertise in building production services will contribute to developing tools necessary for effective compliance and observability. Collaborating closely with peers and mentoring junior engineers, you will ensure the platform operates efficiently and adheres to regulatory standards, leveraging your skills in cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities: • Create and maintain components for AI governance • Operate and enhance integration tools and services • Write and test quality code for production deployments • Participate in rotation for operational support • Contribute to strategic design decisions with leadership

Requirements: • Bachelor's in Computer Science or similar field • Over 5 years of experience in software engineering • Proficient with Python or Go and distributed systems • Familiar with cloud operations and GitOps • Expertise in observability and AI security
