Salary: CAD100000 - CAD110000 per year

Senior Estimator Overview Seeking a senior estimator to support the estimating team on commercial construction projects, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight of complex bids.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or related field.

5+ years of estimating experience, ideally with window wall, curtain wall, railings, and/or metal cladding.

Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Support and mentor estimators while helping manage workload, priorities, and schedules.

Oversee detailed estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.

Review drawings, specifications, scopes, risks, exclusions, and assumptions.

Act as a technical resource on complex or high-value bids.

Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and value engineering.

Support the transition from estimating to project execution.

Improve estimating processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

Maintain estimating databases, assemblies, and historical cost information.

Provide coaching, training, and feedback to junior estimators.

Additional Requirements

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Willingness to travel to client meetings and project sites as required.

Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
