Vancouver Controller with Leadership Focus

Job Description

Step into the role of Controller at AES Engineering in Vancouver, where you will lead financial operations and foster team growth. Your accounting expertise will guide financial decision-making and promote organizational success.

This hands-on Controller role is a 15-month contract, reporting to the Director of Finance. You'll manage day-to-day accounting, provide insights for leadership, and ensure financial report accuracy. Your leadership will help establish robust financial practices in a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor the finance and accounting team

• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financials

• Coordinate and monitor operating budgets and cash flow

• Enhance financial systems and internal workflows

• Maintain financial records, supporting compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

• CPA designation is essential

• Minimum seven years of relevant accounting experience

• Proficient in ADP and project-based software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
