Mastercard Identity Data Scientist II

Job Description

Elevate merchant risk assessment as a Data Scientist II on Mastercard’s Identity team. Your work in AI and Machine Learning will enhance digital safety in transactions.

This role involves developing scalable data science capabilities for onboarding and ongoing monitoring of merchants. You will analyze large datasets to identify trends, support model development, and collaborate with Agile teams to deliver measurable results. Your contributions will help shape risk-driven solutions within Mastercard's innovative approach to digital payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess large-scale merchant and transaction data

• Support development of merchant registry for risk management

• Engage in entity resolution and feature engineering

• Prototype machine learning models with team oversight

• Build and maintain data workflows in Spark and Databricks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field

• Experience with data science solutions and ML application

• Strong coding abilities in Python and SQL

• High standards for producing accurate, quality work

• Willingness to learn and engage in collaborative efforts
