Lead Designer for Mineral Processing Layouts

Job Description

Transform the future of the minerals industry with Ausenco as a Lead Layout Designer in Burlington, Toronto, or Calgary. This role requires expertise in creating efficient mechanical layouts within mining environments.

In this strategic position, you will lead the design efforts for mineral processing plant layouts at Ausenco. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for high-quality work and possess extensive experience in mechanical layout and drawing standards. Familiarity with both 2D and 3D design through Autodesk software is crucial.

Key Responsibilities: • Create mechanical layouts based on project-specific design criteria • Produce design drawings and relevant deliverables • Maintain design standards through effective communication • Manage layout designers to meet project schedules • Monitor layout budgets and manpower allocations

Requirements: • Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or similar qualifications • 15 years’ experience in mineral processing design • Proficient with Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Plant3D) • Strong communication and self-management skills • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects
