Location: Remote (Canada-based)
Type: Unpaid Volunteer Role
Commitment: 10–15 hours per week
Reports To: Executive Director / Board of Directors
About MuslimMoms.Ca
MuslimMoms.Ca is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mental, emotional, and economic well‑being of Muslim mothers across Canada. What began as a small circle of mothers helping one another has grown into a trusted nationwide network of more than 100,000 members. Our work focuses on empowerment, faith, and sisterhood. Through training, community support, and practical resources, we help women strengthen their families, their confidence, and their future opportunities.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of our community programs. The ideal candidate will understand program processes, communicate clearly, and have a sincere passion for advancing the mission of MuslimMoms.Ca.
This is a meaningful opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector while contributing to impactful, community‑centered initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning & Implementation
Support the development, planning, and management of programs and initiatives.
Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and resources to support smooth execution.
Oversee day‑to‑day program activities and ensure alignment with program goals.
Maintain accurate records of activities, participation, and outcomes.
Work closely with volunteers, partners, and cross‑functional teams.
Facilitate team check‑ins, monitor progress, and help address challenges.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Track program milestones and performance indicators.
Prepare progress and impact reports for leadership and donors.
Recommend improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
Build positive relationships with participants, community members, and partners.
Represent MuslimMoms.Ca at events, outreach efforts, and online forums.
Promote inclusivity, empathy, and kindness in all interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, or a related field (or currently completing one).
0–3 years of experience in program coordination or community‑based projects.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism.
Kindness, patience, and empathy when working with diverse community members.
Strong sense of integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Reliable and able to commit 10–15 hours per week.
