Data Modeler Role with RBC

Job Description

Contribute to innovative financial solutions as a Senior Data Modeler at RBC in Toronto. Engage in creating high-quality, scalable data models that enhance risk and compliance functions.

At RBC’s Global Functions Technology, you will play a vital role in managing and setting data standards for multiple business lines, including Capital Markets and Retail Banking. Excellent communication will be essential as you guide teams on best practices.

Key Responsibilities: • Design and extend data models for various financial products • Research requirements and articulate model intent • Keep documentation current for data standards • Support reviews to streamline data modeling processes • Collaborate with business areas to fulfill strategic goals

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field • 7+ years in data modeling, especially in finance • Advanced data analysis skills in SQL and Python • Knowledge of tools like PowerDesigner or Erwin • Detail-oriented with excellent project management abilities
