Deputy Program Manager for Capital Projects

Job Description

Step into a critical role as a Deputy Program Manager in Digby, Nova Scotia, focusing on capital projects and engineering governance within marine operations. This position requires a mix of technical expertise and project management skills.

You will support the implementation of consistent project management practices while overseeing major maintenance initiatives and engaging with regulatory bodies. Your leadership will enhance project tracking, reporting, and the administration of key engineering contracts. This role involves also managing documentation quality and contributing to governance improvements.

Key Responsibilities: • Implement project management and quality practices across teams • Track and coordinate engineering initiatives and budgets • Facilitate regulatory engagement with Transport Canada • Manage individual engineering projects as assigned • Improve maintenance management systems and tools

Requirements: • Engineering degree or relevant marine experience • Proven history in managing technical projects • Project Management or quality certification preferred • Experience within marine or maritime sectors is a plus • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools and platforms
