Job Description The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides a comprehensive cancer control program for the people of Saskatchwan delivering cancer services such as prevention, early detection, treatment and research. The Agency operates two comprehensive cancer centres, the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, providing services to approximately 10,000 patients annually. Research is conducted into the understanding of the causes of cancer and development of new treatment modalities.The Saskatoon and Allan Blair Cancer Centres deliver radiation therapy to approximately 2,400 patients annually. The equipment complement includes GE Lightspeed CT simulators, two TrueBeam and four Varian 21iX accelerators with MLC and OBI/Cone Beam, a Gulmay Orthovoltage unit, and Nucletron HDR remote afterloaders. Treatment planning is provided with Eclipse, RadCalc and Oncentra. The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency has adopted the ARIA software suite for the implementation of an electronic medical record. Clinical services include 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT and HDR brachytherapy.Medical Physicists are expected to participate in all clinical, educational and research activities of the Department of Medical Physics and to show leadership in clinical studies and research.

Additional Information Applicants must have a postgraduate degree in Medical Physics or a related field and be eligible as fellows or members of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with experience.In accordance with Canadian Immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and to permanent residents of Canada.
