Prosecution Support Coordinator Role

Job Description

Become a key player in the City of Brampton's Legal Services as a Prosecutions Coordinator. This full-time position focuses on providing administrative and logistical support within the prosecution team and ensuring efficient legal operations.

In this dynamic role, you will report directly to the Legal Counsel & Manager for Prosecutions. You will manage legal documentation, assist paralegal staff, and coordinate court schedules while maintaining strong communication with various stakeholders. Your expertise will be invaluable in navigating complex legal tasks and ensuring adherence to all pertinent requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare legal documentation including Notices of Motion

• Supervise training for paralegal co-op students

• Maintain organized schedules for court appearances

• Communicate legal updates to internal and external parties

• Process inquiries related to prosecution matters

Requirements:

• Paralegal license issued by the Law Society of Ontario

• Experience in a municipal or Crown prosecutor's office preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
