Shape the future of AI in physical operations with Samsara as a Lead Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer. This remote role focuses on end-to-end architectural ownership and impactful outcomes across industries.

At Samsara, we are hiring for a pivotal position that leads the ML infrastructure for our Safety AI projects. You will take charge of platform architecture, bridging applied ML teams and embedding secure practices across over 2 million devices. Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams, optimizing for safety and innovation while mentoring engineers in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set strategic direction for ML platform delivery

• Drive design and iteration of Safety AI features

• Operate scalable inference systems and deployment

• Ensure reliability and security across ML systems

• Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices

Requirements:

• 10+ years in machine learning engineering

• Hands-on experience with Ray and Kubernetes

• Proven end-to-end feature shipping record

• Strong communication and technical leadership skills

• Background with enterprise compliance in ML
