CFD Internship in Combustion Systems

Job Description

Join Pratt & Whitney Canada as a Combustion Engineering Intern focusing on CFD. This onsite role is a chance to enhance your skills in fluid mechanics and emission validation.

Intern from January 5 to April 23, 2027, in the dynamic Combustion Aerothermal Systems group. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical or aerospace engineering to prepare combustion geometries and perform crucial simulations using ANSYS tools. This opportunity allows you to explore the complexities of gas turbine combustion processes and contribute to innovative emission reduction efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create geometry models using ANSYS CAD

• Conduct CFD simulations to analyze NOx emissions

• Review relevant literature on NOx modeling

• Summarize and present results to the team

• Validate simulation predictions with engine data

Requirements:

• Eligible to work in Canada

• Must be enrolled in a Canadian university

• Master/PhD student in a relevant discipline

• Knowledgeable in ANSYS software and programming

• Strong grasp of combustion science
