Elevate eBay's technology as a Senior Backend Engineer focused on Authentication. Develop cutting-edge software solutions utilizing Java and Google Cloud Platform.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the architecture and implementation of eBay’s Authentication Technology. Your expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native practices will ensure high availability and reliability. Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to enhance user confidence through sophisticated software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural discussions for complex software systems

• Develop high-performance services with Java/Spring Boot

• Implement and manage cloud deployments on GCP

• Enhance system observability and troubleshoot production issues

• Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of software development experience

• Proficient in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks
