What you will be doing in the role of Application Engineering Associate (Automation):
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Developing written proposals and quotations for process automation and control systems for Emerson automation platforms (DeltaV and other), complimentary 3 rd party products and engineering/implementation services
Reviewing incoming specifications and RFQ’s and working with clients to clarify and develop a scope of work to align to a proposed solution
Lead and support proposal development including detailed technical solutions through the development of the bill of material, pricing, engineering estimate, schedules as well as commercial proposals
Participate in bid review/clarification meeting for technical and commercial negotiations
Product selection, scoping and pricing
Ensuring proper transition of proposal to project management and implementation team
Performing necessary performance calculations and analysis, troubleshooting processes or product-related issues
Up selling products to customers to increase sales volume
Promoting specific product lines
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
University Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
One to Five (1-5) years of relevant experience, particularly with control systems, PLCs or similar automation or project engineering focus
