Product Owner (Technical)

Job Description

About the Role

Hydreight Technologies is looking for a Product Owner with strong technical acumen to support product execution across our platform. This is an onsite role reporting to the Product Leader. You'll act as a bridge between development, UX/UI and business teams, translating priorities into clear, actionable requirements and following through until they're delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily with the offshore development team, with working hours aligned to EST to support timely handoffs and follow-up
  • Translate priorities from the Product Leader into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria within Jira
  • Manage the product backlog and proactively follow up with the responsible team members to keep items moving toward completion
  • Work closely with developers and UX/UI designers day to day so features are well understood and implemented effectively
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and sprint reviews
  • Communicate functional requirements, user flows, and system behavior clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Validate delivered functionality against acceptance criteria to ensure quality and completeness
  • Review API documentation and work with engineers to define integration requirements and verify API-driven workflows
  • Support the creation of release notes, internal documentation, and user training materials
  • Help collect and organize product usage data and user feedback to support decision-making by the Product Leader
  • Escalate workflow gaps, system dependencies, or technical constraints to the Product Leader rather than resolving them independently

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a SaaS or B2B platform environment
  • Proven ability to write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Hands-on experience managing Jira (epics, stories, tasks, sprints)
  • Solid understanding of APIs, JSON structures, and system integrations, with the ability to read and discuss technical documentation comfortably
  • Familiarity with concepts such as microservices, data modeling, and RESTful architecture
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional and offshore teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment and adapting quickly to changing requirements
  • Willingness to work EST hours to overlap with offshore development team coordination
  • Willingness to support occasionally outside standard working hours when required for critical delivery timelines
  • Strong team player who works well with people across different functions and time zones
  • Good communicator who can explain technical ideas in plain terms and keep stakeholders in the loop
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with B2B platforms, multi-tenant systems, or marketplaces

• Exposure to payment workflows, scheduling systems, or form builders

• Understanding of PostgreSQL or relational data modeling

• Prior experience in healthcare, fintech, or logistics SaaS domains

• Basic familiarity with UI/UX design principles or tools like Figma or Lucidchart

Compensation

• Base salary in line with experience, plus a performance-based bonus tied to individual and team delivery outcomes

What We Value

  • A problem solver mindset that follows through on execution and knows when to raise something for higher-level judgment
  • A genuine team player who builds trust and works well across offshore and onshore teams
  • Clear, honest communication and transparency
  • A focus on execution, moving things from priority to delivery efficiently
