Lead Engineering Manager - Stations Design

Job Description

Shape the future of electrical engineering at Toronto Hydro as Manager of Stations. Direct substation design projects while fostering a collaborative and safe work culture.

In the role of Manager, Stations (Design), you will report to the Director, overseeing high-quality designs for substation distribution systems. Your leadership and technical skills will ensure that projects meet both quality and compliance standards. Throughout your tenure, you will manage a team, enhance operational efficiency, and handle customer and technical issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the delivery and engineering of substation projects • Manage project specifications, costs, and schedules • Approve designs and modifications to technical specifications • Enhance safety culture through program implementation • Build relationships with stakeholders for successful project outcomes

Requirements: • Bachelor’s in electrical engineering; relevant experience considered • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario • At least 7 years in engineering within electrical utilities • 5 years of project or leadership experience • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
