Toronto Based Credit Analyst Role

Job Description

Become a key player at Scotiabank as a Credit Analyst in Toronto, focusing on risk assessment and compliance within the wealth management sector. This role is vital to the Credit/Risk team.

This position involves facilitating the financial goals of the team by providing analytical insights and ensuring adherence to compliance standards. You will be responsible for evaluating trading patterns, monitoring securities, and addressing discrepancies while managing client accounts and orders. Your performance will directly impact the overall financial health of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate reports assessing financial risks and compliance

• Advise on policies and approve transactions beyond limits

• Monitor account trading activities and adjust restrictions

• Liquidate and purchase securities as required

• Analyze large reports daily before market close

Requirements:

• 3-5 years direct investment experience preferred

• CIRO licensed Investment Representative (IR) and Options

• Strong analytical and computer skills

• Team player with strong organizational skills

• Excellent communication abilities for client interaction
