Controller - 6-8 Month Contract

About Our Client Our client is seeking a Controller for a 6-to-8-month contract.

About the Opportunity

Preparation, review, and approval of all account reconciliations with necessary support

Prepare and review journal entries

Preparation of accurate financial statements on a timely basis

Maintain reconciled bank balances

Sales tax preparation

Ensure adherence to accounting policies

Oversee accuracy of weekly billings and payments

Oversee and support accounting team of two (A/P and A/R)

Finalize work instructions and propose process improvements in tandem with the team

Participate in ERP improvement activitiesEnsure internal controls are adequate and followed properly

Ad hoc reporting as requested

About You

CPA designation required

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field an asset

Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a senior-level accounting/finance position

Minimum 3-5 years' management experience

Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel

T1/T2 and ERP experience

Knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations
