Job Description

Join EXP as a Junior Materials Testing Technician in Calgary, AB, and dive into the field of geotechnical engineering. This role combines practical fieldwork with laboratory testing for budding professionals.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is a recent graduate or nearing completion of a Civil Engineering Technology diploma. In this role, you’ll engage in hands-on material testing and work alongside engineers to resolve site-related challenges. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and develop your testing skills on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities: • Carry out field tests for concrete and soil • Assist with sampling and coring of asphalt and concrete • Gather and test samples from construction sites • Support various laboratory analyses, including grain size tests • Participate in site visits to ensure quality control

Requirements: • Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field • Basic knowledge of materials testing is a plus • Strong interest in outdoor and construction activities • Effective communication and task management skills • Valid Canadian driver’s license needed for site visits
