Job Description

Drive innovation as a Senior Data Engineer with Robots & Pencils. Focus on building enterprise-grade data platforms, while leading the technical strategy with a keen AI perspective.

This role at Robots & Pencils is for an experienced engineer to shape data strategy and oversee platform decisions end-to-end. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design scalable data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines. Your leadership will ensure data quality and governance while mentoring junior engineers through daily challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and design data architecture and platform strategy

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for processing

• Enforce data governance and quality standards across systems

• Implement monitoring and logging for data services

• Drive modernization of data platforms for improved performance

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional data engineering experience

• Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL

• Strong architecture background in distributed systems
