Job Description

Become a Design Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage with Ulteig, supporting utility-scale renewable projects across Canada. Collaborate with teams to create effective designs while working remotely.

Ulteig is looking for a motivated Design Engineer in Battery Energy Storage for its Renewables Lifeline Sector®. This role demands a strong foundation in power systems and experience in designing layouts and installation details for large-scale projects. You will engage directly with clients and oversee multi-disciplinary teams to bring projects from conceptual stages to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop project design packages for renewable systems

• Collaborate with clients for effective project execution

• Lead a design team of 2-4 engineers and technicians

• Create conceptual designs and material take-offs

• Ensure adherence to internal engineering standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• 2-4 years of power systems design experience

• Familiarity with CYMCAP, ETAP, or EasyPower preferred

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is advantageous
