Job Description

Take on the challenge as a Senior Estimator at Stantec, focusing on cost estimates for major mining initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work model with some travel required.

In this pivotal role, you will lead estimation efforts for mining projects, providing comprehensive oversight on costs ranging from $1 million to $10+ billion. Collaborating with various experts, you will ensure precise estimates across multiple disciplines and project stages while actively supporting vendors and contractors for pricing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules

• Lead comprehensive estimating for mining and processing projects

• Support collaborative input from various estimating disciplines

• Coordinate and compile estimating data into cohesive reports

• Establish estimating criteria including productivity rates

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• At least 10 years of experience in estimating

• Deep understanding of construction methods and standards

• Proficiency in using estimating platforms and scheduling tools

• Demonstrated leadership in multi-disciplinary coordination
