Expert Electrical Engineer at WSP

Job Description

Drive the future of electrical engineering at WSP focusing on mining and industrial applications in Ontario. Lead cutting-edge designs ensuring safety and efficiency.

WSP is looking for an Expert Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the mining and industrial sectors. In this senior role, you will design electrical power distribution systems, execute power analyses, and oversee compliance with safety standards. With a focus on mentoring, you will guide junior engineers while leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical designs for industrial projects

• Perform detailed power system studies using ETAP or EasyPower

• Create specifications and data sheets for projects

• Ensure adherence to safety and risk management requirements

• Collaborate across offices to optimize design execution

Requirements:

• Over 18 years of relevant engineering experience

• Registered P.Eng. in Ontario

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards

• Industrial experience in mines or similar sectors

• Ability to travel to various site locations
