Senior Oracle Database Specialist at Stantec

Job Description

Enhance Stantec's Oracle database systems as a Senior Oracle APEX and Database Administrator. Your focus will be on database lifecycle management and APEX application support across environments.

This role involves designing, administering, and optimizing performance within Oracle databases and APEX environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the security and availability of systems, working closely with middleware and application teams to meet business objectives. Your contributions will help advance our enterprise database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Oracle database management across diverse environments

• Conduct database installations, upgrades, and migrations

• Monitor and tune database performance for optimal efficiency

• Configure and manage APEX/ORDS environments and schemas

• Provide Tier 3 support for database-related incidents

Requirements:

• 5–10+ years in Oracle Database Administration

• Strong background in Oracle APEX and ORDS configurations

• Proficient in PL/SQL, performance tuning

• Familiarity with disaster recovery (RMAN)

• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex environments
