Heavy Equipment Operator for Utilities

Job Description

Become a key contributor as an Equipment Operator focusing on rubber-tire backhoes and mini excavators for utility projects. Work closely with a team to achieve effective and safe operations.

As an Equipment Operator, you will report directly to the Site Foreman. The role entails the safe operation of machinery in utility construction environments, with responsibilities extending to organizing tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaboration, accountability, and a proactive work ethic will define your impact in this position.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate heavy machinery for utility installations • Organize and coordinate daily operational activities • Ensure safety inspections are performed regularly • Prepare for safety discussions and hazard evaluations • Handle general labor tasks when required

Requirements: • High School Diploma preferred • Valid Alberta Driver's License with clean abstract • 5 years' experience operating relevant equipment • Background working in construction roles • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
