Job Description

Enhance student learning experiences at Coquitlam School District as a Casual Learning Support Worker. Support diverse learners in achieving academic and life skills goals.

This role is essential for providing hands-on assistance in classrooms for students with varying needs. You will work alongside educators to encourage participation and facilitate independence. Your contributions will also involve modifying materials to enhance student learning and fostering social interactions within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with curriculum and life skills support

• Encourage active participation in class activities

• Modify instructions to suit student needs

• Help establish positive interactions across the school

• Support student mobility and accessibility on site

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant certification

• One year of associated education or experience preferred

• B.C. Class 5 driver's license potentially required

• Must pass two criminal background checks
