Senior Assistant Controller - Finance Team Role

Job Description

Empower the Finance team as an Assistant Controller at Applied Biological Materials, specializing in financial analysis and reporting. This role based in Vancouver offers hands-on experience with budgeting and compliance.

As a vital part of the finance team, you will collaborate closely with the Controller to oversee financial reporting, month-end closes, and tax compliance. This role is tailored for a CPA with a solid foundation in financial accounting practices and robust analytical skills to improve operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee monthly and annual financial statement preparations • Manage tax compliance and GST/HST/PST returns • Coordinate SR&ED claims and audits • Develop and evaluate budgets and forecasts • Create and manage Power BI reports and dashboards

Requirements: • Required Canadian CPA designation • 2-3 years relevant financial experience • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills • Strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities
