Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will specialize in Asset, Discovery, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role is crucial in enhancing and optimizing our IT asset tracking, discovery processes, and configuration management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within ServiceNow for Asset, Discovery, and CMDB modules

Configure and customize ServiceNow to align with our asset/configuration management and discovery processes

Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other systems for comprehensive asset and configuration management

Create and optimize workflows, business rules, and scripts to automate asset and discovery processes

Implement and maintain the CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date IT asset information

Develop custom reports and dashboards for asset visibility and management insights

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions, including creating and maintaining Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts

Provide technical analysis and recommendations for improving Asset, Discovery, and CMDB processes

Document all development work, system designs, and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong focus on Asset, Discovery, and CMDB modules. Extensive understanding of the ways in which ServiceNow can be configured and customized and scripting within the tool

Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through API. SOAP, REST and/or JSON web services.

Proven track record of developing custom applications and integrations within ServiceNow

Strong understanding of asset/configuration management principles and best practices

Experience with ServiceNow’s Automated Testing Framework (ATF)

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of ITIL processes and their implementation in ServiceNow

Experience with agile development methodologies

Experience with Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Catalog Item Designer

Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
