Scientist – Protein Analytics at Amgen

Job Description

As a member of the Biologics Engineering team, your role will focus on characterizing therapeutic proteins through mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography. Ideal for self-motivated researchers, this contract position involves collaboration with multiple teams to drive scientific excellence in protein analysis and method development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation

• Confirm protein identity with mass analysis

• Analyze peptides to validate protein sequences

• Educate staff on analytical methods and instrumentation

• Implement and validate new LC-MS methodologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years or a Master’s with 2+ years experience

• Solid background in Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography

• Familiarity with LC-MS analysis software

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Located in the Greater Vancouver Area
