Job Description

Drive innovation as a Backend Java Developer utilizing AWS at a leading banking client in Montreal. This hybrid position is a 12-month engagement requiring bilingual skills.

We are hiring a senior Java developer focused on evolving backend services in an AWS environment. This role necessitates expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservices, as candidates will be part of an established production team. Effective communication in French and English is crucial for success in this bilingual role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Operate applications within AWS and EKS infrastructure

• Design robust REST APIs in a microservices framework

• Manage deployments with Docker and Terraform tools

• Develop CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development

• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud platforms and tools

• Familiar with REST APIs and microservices deployment

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English

• Experience with observability tools like Splunk and Datadog
