Electrical Engineering Lead in Ontario

Job Description

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will apply your 18+ years of experience to design and enhance electrical power systems. This role emphasizes the importance of safety and reliability in sectors dealing with hazardous environments, including mines. You will conduct power studies, oversee technical accuracy, and guide junior engineers, all contributing to WSP's excellence in project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design for distribution and control systems

• Conduct studies including arc-flash analysis and load flow

• Develop specifications for switchgear and other equipment

• Ensure design compliance with safety regulations

• Build client rapport and provide expert insights

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of relevant electrical design experience

• P.Eng. license in Ontario or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of CSA and ANSI codes

• Proficiency in power system modelling software

• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
