Job Description

Become a Personal Support Worker at Extendicare and provide dedicated support to seniors. Focus on personal care, mobility assistance, and fostering emotional well-being in a caring environment.

In this part-time role, you’ll be integral to maintaining the dignity and comfort of residents at Extendicare. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and reporting on any health changes. You'll have the chance to connect emotionally with clients and their families, ensuring a supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities: • Follow plans of care designed by supervisors • Assist residents with mobility and transfers • Offer personal care and hygiene support • Prepare nutritious meals as needed • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the environment

Requirements: • Graduate of a recognized Personal Support Worker program • Experience in community health services preferred • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Current First Aid and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification • Ability to perform necessary physical tasks
