Technical Sales Representative

Job Description

The Technical Sales Representative role is designed as a high-impact sales position focused on driving market growth and customer development within an assigned territory. A key component of the role includes providing high-level technical consulting and hands‑on product training, with a focus on building physics and SIGA solutions to ensure proper application and long‑term performance in the field.

Success in this position will be driven by the ability to acquire new customers and build strong, lasting relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and builders across sectors including mass timber, multi‑family, commercial, and single‑family construction. The position also involves organizing and participating in customer events, trade shows, and training academies to strengthen SIGA’s market presence and generate new business opportunities. This role owns the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation through quoting, order placement, installation‑support, and after‑sales service—ensuring a seamless, high‑quality customer experience.

The successful candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver area which includes Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Key Responsibilities Manage and grow territory, including area analysis and sales growth.

Provide technical consulting and hands‑on product training to customers on building physics and SIGA solutions.

Acquire new customers and build strong relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and builders across mass timber, multi‑family, commercial, and single‑family projects.

Drive sales growth through project acquisition, customer retention, and consultative technical advice.

Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, order placement, installation training, and after‑sales service.

Organize and participate in customer events, trade shows, and training academies.

Maintain accurate CRM data and collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

Salary Range $82k-$112k base salary, plus performance-based incentives

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, sustainable design, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in technical sales or construction-related roles

Strong technical background in high-performance buildings or mid-rise/mass timber projects

Proven ability in sales and customer acquisition

Willingness to travel up to 80%; valid driver's license and passport required

Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area which includes Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows
