Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Data Engineering Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week) Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: $50/HR INC Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong exposure to data engineering, data analysis, and banking/wealth management domains. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to define requirements, support data ingestion initiatives, build domain‑specific data views, and ensure high‑quality delivery. Key Responsibilities

Business & Domain Collaboration

Partner with banking and wealth management stakeholders to understand data requirements and regulatory nuances. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications. Data Ingestion & Analysis

Support design and validation of data ingestion processes. Ensure pipelines align with business use cases and compliance standards. View Creation & SQL Development

Develop and maintain domain‑based data views (portfolios, transactions, accounts) using SQL. Optimize and validate views for reporting and analytics. Story Grooming & Requirements Management

Refine user stories and define clear acceptance criteria. Support sprint planning and backlog refinement in Agile environment. Developer & Technical Support

Act as liaison between business and engineering teams. Support troubleshooting and requirement clarifications. Data Analysis & Documentation

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA). Maintain documentation including workflows, business rules, and data mappings. Qualifications & Skills

Domain Knowledge

Strong understanding of banking or wealth management processes such as asset management, onboarding, compliance, portfolio and transaction reporting. Technical Skills

Proficiency in SQL (joins, querying, optimization). Basic knowledge of Python. Familiarity with ETL pipelines and APIs. Agile Experience
