Senior Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure at Stream

Job Description

Join Stream as a Senior Engineer focused on Cloud Infrastructure, enhancing our platform's scalability while executing a strategic move to GCP. This role offers a hybrid work model and significant autonomy.

As part of a lean team, you will play a crucial role in the transition from AWS to GCP while designing real-time infrastructures. Your engineering expertise will help migrate Postgres shards and optimize resource usage across the system, ensuring a seamless experience for billions of users. We're looking for someone passionate about solving complex infrastructure issues and leading the way in implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy infrastructure for high-volume API services

• Execute Kubernetes migration and improve workload design

• Assess cloud cost and efficiency post-migration

• Create tools and automation using Go and Python

• Facilitate incident response and root cause analysis

Requirements:

• 5+ years in infrastructure or SRE roles

• Solid coding skills in Go or Python

• Extensive Kubernetes operational experience

• Experience in cloud cost management

• Background in high-load production environments
