Node JS / NestJS Engineer (Backend)

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Node JS / NestJS Engineer (Backend). This position involves developing backend capabilities and APIs for a key technician portal, utilizing Azure-based NestJS architecture and integrating with Java/.NET environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling parts availability search and express delivery functionality, contributing to a high-impact project with phased financial approval.

Responsibilities

Develop robust APIs and backend services using NestJS, Java, and .NET

Work with existing RDBMS databases and server connections

Integrate backend systems with third-party logistics APIs and platforms

Build scalable, high-performance solutions with messaging and event-driven architecture

Review and challenge current architecture, proposing innovative improvements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration

Support phases of the project, including testing and deployment

Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach in all tasks

Desired Skill-Set

Extensive experience with NestJS framework

Strong proficiency in Java and C#/.NET development

Solid understanding of RDBMS systems

Proficiency with Azure Cloud; AWS experience/certification a plus

Expertise in API development and microservices architecture

Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures

Familiarity with SOLID principles and software architecture design

Ability to challenge existing solutions and propose effective alternatives

Strong problem-solving and proactive communication skills

Nice to Have

Azure certification or experience with AWS cloud services

Familiarity with integrating third-party logistics APIs

Experience in building scalable API solutions within a fast-paced environment
