Job Description

Lead data innovation at Altus Group as a Principal Data Engineer. This fully remote opportunity enables you to build scalable data platforms for commercial real estate across regions.

In this position, you will work closely with the Head of Data Science, utilizing your deep experience in data engineering to establish robust frameworks and pipelines on Databricks. Your role is vital in enhancing data quality and efficiency, while mentoring engineering talent and ensuring strategic alignment among teams. You will help shape innovative data solutions that drive real business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and drive technical direction within the data team

• Create and manage scalable data architectures on Databricks

• Represent data engineering in strategic initiatives

• Foster engineering excellence through mentorship

• Analyze data requirements and propose effective solutions

Requirements:

• In-depth experience with production data systems

• Expertise in Python, SQL, and Spark on Databricks

• Ability to establish engineering standards across functions

• Strong collaborative skills and strategic influence

• Familiarity with commercial real estate data is advantageous
